Specialists in Custom Surface Finishing of Injected Plastic Parts

AMA can achieve various surface finishes with a variety of techniques on injected plastic parts.

Spray Painted Plastic Globe Stand
  • Very smooth part surfaces to translucent part surfaces can be realized by high polishing of injection mold before molding.
  • Surface Texturing is another option that can be realized by application to the molds surface before forming.
  • Spray Painting gives finished plastic parts a vast array of bright colors to highly glossy finishes in matt or glossy gold, silver, brass and other metallic appearances.
  • Vacuum metalized plating process puts gold, silver or chrome metalized finish on a variety of injection molded plastic materials. Parts are placed in a vacuum chamber. Once the oxygen is removed from the chamber and the electric filaments are charged, metal particles transfer to the plastic giving the shiny appearance.
  • Water transfer provides parts with appearances from various wood grain finishes to marble finishes and many other choices.
  • Cubic/film transfer offers carbon fiber, a wide selection of wood grain appearances.
  • Resin potting provides a unique appearance with various color options and designs.
  • InMold decoration utilizes techniques that combine vacuum forming with injection molding which allows for design flexibility; multiple colors, effects and textures; long life graphics; improved cost effectiveness and productivity. AMA has years of experience with precision InMold decoration.
